Evaluation of Macmillan Cancer pathway

Mike and Nick evaluated the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton (UHDB) Macmillan Cancer Transformation Pathways Programme. The purpose of this evaluation was to understand the effectiveness of the range of services offered by UHDB Cancer Improvement Team, relating to the aftercare pathways for patients recovering from or living with cancer. The process evaluation methodology used quantitative and qualitative data, adopting a mixed methods approach to data collection, through existing project level data, and surveys, interviews and focus groups with stakeholders and patients.
